Timber Construct – the Way Forward

The Timber Development Association of NSW proudly hosts and organises both the Timber Construct Conference and the Australian Timber Design Awards. As the audiences for both these events have continued to grow and evolve, so too has the overlap between them – a clear sign of a vibrant, connected and forward-thinking timber industry. These flagship initiatives share a common mission: championing innovation, celebrating excellence and strengthening Australia’s timber sector. With many sponsors, partners and delegates keen to support both events, choosing between them was becoming increasingly challenging.

Following consultation with key industry leaders, an exciting new annual alternating format has been introduced. 2026 will showcase the Australian Timber Design Awards, with Timber Construct taking centre stage next year. This refreshed approach means greater focus, stronger participation, deeper engagement and even more value for sponsors and attendees alike – ensuring that each event delivers maximum impact and continues to elevate the profile of timber design and construction across Australia.

To keep up to speed with everything related to this year’s Timber Design Awards, please head to the awards website.
